Decorative or practical entrances draw attention to the desired building access entrance. If the entrance is sufficiently large then the entrance extends the crossing area in which people move past each other giving practical protection as the doors are negotiated. Well designed entrances reduce the effect of the outside weather inside the building and protect doors and clearly identifies the main entrance becoming a focal point even from a distance |
